Wong is a Managing Partner of the firm overseeing our teams of experts across various areas of practice. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with honors from Multimedia University in 2017. He is an experienced legal practitioner whose main areas of practice ranges from matters relating to corporate & commercial, franchising & licensing to cross border investments. Having served a wide range of clientele over his years of practice in the legal industry, he is trusted not only by startups, but also multinational and public listed corporations.Â
With his outspoken nature and vast experience in the industry, he is no stranger to effective communication skills and dedication to building strong solicitor-client relationships. Achievements
- Represented and assisted one of the largest cookies brand in Los Angeles with its registration with the Malaysian Registry of Franchises as foreign franchisor, as well as the negotiation and finalization of a regional franchise agreement with its appointed regional franchise.
- Assisted in conducting purchaser’s legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents and advising on regulatory compliance and approvals in relation to an acquisition of shares of a private company for a cash consideration of RM 18,000,000.
- Advised a listed co, TWL Holdings Berhad on an unincorporated joint venture on durian plantation valued at RM 50,000,000.
- Advised a Malaysian-incorporated subsidiary of Australia security equipment supplier company in relation to all the applicable regulatory compliance for their business operation in Malaysia.
- Advised a Malaysian-based manufacturer on their distributorship agreement with its Singapore-based suppliers for fast moving consumer goods.
- Advised companies on the drafting of their shareholders’ agreements, including one of the biggest group of companies controlling a chain of fashion & lifestyle Watches retailer in Malaysia.
- Advised a company on the applicable data privacy laws in Malaysia and provided the transfer pricing legal documents in Malaysia for a company prior to their public listing corporate exercise.
