Julian’s practice is focused on legal matters within the energy, utilities, and construction sectors. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2022.

In dispute resolution, Julian advises owners and contractors on all aspects of dispute management, and appears as counsel in arbitration proceedings and court litigation. He has accumulated substantial practical experience in navigating complex, high-value disputes across the construction and infrastructure industries.

In non-contentious matters, Julian is well-versed in the drafting and negotiation of complex project contracts. His familiarity extends across a broad range of contract forms, encompassing internationally recognised standard forms as well as bespoke agreements crafted to address specific commercial and project arrangements.

Julian holds a law degree from Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom. He is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, enabling him to deliver professional legal services seamlessly across multilingual and multicultural client environments.
